IBC is blessed to have a large and thriving Special Needs ministry.
Each Sunday there are two special needs classrooms available during the 10:45 a.m. service to accommodate those who cannot attend a typical children's class. Our volunteers offer a safe and secure place for children to go and learn about God's love.
We also offer Sonshine Pals who can assist higher functioning children and youth with special needs as they learn about God alongside their peers. We offer Sonshine Pals on Sundays during each of the worship services (9:00, 10:45 and 5:00).
"In His Image" Bible Study is offered each Wednesday from 6:30-7:45. This is a place where adults (18 and older) with special needs can learn about who God is. They sing, spend time together and study God's word.
"In His Grip" Support Group meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:45. This is a place for parents of children with special needs can come together in community and grow in Christ.
Respite Care is offered every fourth Saturday and provides a much needed night off for parents. Fun activities and a safe environment for children with special needs is offered so that care givers can have time to relax and recharge. Each child will receive a one-on-one Pal.

Do you have a child with special needs?
At IBC we strive to accommodate children and families with children who have special needs. SonShine Pals assist children in a classroom with their peers on Sundays. We also have two special needs specific classrooms during the 10:45 a.m. service. Respite Care is a fun night out every fourth Saturday hosted on the IBC campus.
SonShine Pals are special hearted volunteers and are not always in immediate availability but we work hard to make the volunteer position available to those who desire to share Christ's love with children who have differences. Your child may be placed on a waiting list, but we work hard to accommodate their needs the best possible way.
For more information on how to volunteer for one of these great opportunities or how to get your family enrolled contact Shannon at specialneeds@irvingbible.org.

God makes it clear that the body of Christ includes people of all ages, races, and ability levels! "In His Image" will be a place where some of His most precious members can feel loved and accepted while growing in their faith.
Volunteers are needed to assist members and share Christ's love.
