Advent

Advent marks the start of the church calendar, and symbolizes the coming of the Light: Jesus Christ. While popular culture celebrates the Christmas Season all through December (and even earlier), Advent is a time of expectation for the coming of the Christ Child.

Each year, we host an Advent kickoff event to celebrate the season and to offer an experience for attendees to help make their Advent experience meaningful.

Also, through this season we host ibcadvent.com, where readers can follow through daily devotionals on the way through the season leading up to Christmas.
