4 4 Bible Story Picture 1

Welcome to 2019! We have so much to be grateful for, and I know that the Lord has so much for our families to anticipate in 2019. I am so excited to see what God will do in and through all of us! For 2019, we would love to gather some information from you, the families we serve. If you could take ~5 minutes to complete this survey, it will help us make decisions about how we serve you better into the future. Thank you so much!

This morning in Children's, we returned to the Old Testament and the birth of another important person. Moses' story is miraculous, amazing, and a fantastic picture of God's sovereignty. He was saved from dire circumstances as a baby, grew up in unexpected opportunity, and called by God to follow Him through an unbelievable sign. There is a lot to Moses' life and calling, and this week as you work your way into a routine for 2019, start by talking together about the surprising and amazing things that God has done in your life.

Some starter questions for you:

Elementary

  1. What is the most difficult part of Moses' story to believe - his mother's placing him in the water as a baby, his growing up in the house of Pharaoh, his encounter with God at the burning bush?
  2. What about Moses' calling is the most encouraging to you?

Preschool

  1. God protected Moses as a baby. What are some ways God protects us?
  2. When Moses was older, God spoke to him in a burning bush. What would you think if you saw a bush on fire but not burning up? If it started talking to you, would you talk back?
