3. describe who the Holy Spirit is, what He has done, and His role in your life to others
4. be filled by the Spirit by yielding your life to Him and abiding in Jesus
5. choose to live by the Spirit instead of the flesh and become more like Jesus
6. walk by the Spirit through prayer, training, and focusing your mind on the things of the Spirit
7. be empowered by the Spirit to use His gifts to serve God’s purposes for the good of others
8. be guided by the Spirit through:

• God’s Word
• quiet listening
• prayer
• wise counsel
• circumstances
• inner promptings

What this learning experience is and isn’t:

• Learning together in community, not independently
• Lots of opportunities to practice, not passive consumption
• Concentrated on what you will be able to say/do, not what the instructor says/does
