Irving Bible Church

Overview

Our high school ministry is a place for students from all schools and all backgrounds to come embark on a journey of discovering life the way Jesus described it could be. This simply stated passion is what drives everything we do. Here are some of the things we have going on for students each week.

High School Ministry meets from 6:45-8:30 each Sunday night in the Student Ministry area of IBC. Our small groups ("Life Groups") are made up of 8-10 students led by adults who love to pour into students and guide them along as they explore spiritual matters. Students get to hang out, make new friends, laugh a lot and explore the truths of the Bible.

Life Groups

Life groups meet each Sunday night at 6:45 p.m. It is a time for students to come together with their friends and adult leaders for small group discussion.

High School Life Groups will begin meeting on August 21st. Be sure to sign up and join us.

GET YOUR MID-WEEK SWAG ON!

IBC is excited to announce SWAG (Student Worship and Gathering), a new mid-week worship opportunity for high school students.

SWAG meets every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is an engaging time of worship with a full band, teaching and time for students to hang out with friends.

“We are so excited to launch SWAG for our high school students and can’t wait to see the positive impact this time will have on their lives and the lives of their friends,” said Student Ministry Pastor David Grant.

“This time will not only serve to encourage the hearts of our students, but serve as a welcoming event for all high school students in our area. High school students are curious about this ‘Jesus thing’ and SWAG will be a comfortable place where those questions can be explored.

10:24 Groups

10:24 Groups are relationally driven small groups that help students grow in their love for Jesus. These groups were created for students who have a desire to go deeper into their faith. An adult leader who is encouraged and trained by the student ministry staff team leads each group.

10:24 Group will begin meeting in September. After the students have registered, they will be contacted by their leader to discuss dates, times and locations of their group.

High School Ministry at IBC Short Term Mission Opportunities

Student Ministry at IBC longs for middle school and high school students to “Join the Mission.” We believe God has uniquely gifted students for impact and influence in our community and around the world. It’s exciting to see our students serve and love those who desperately need it. This summer we are offering opportunities for our students to “Join the Mission” by spending extended time traveling on mission trips.

No - mission trips are not the only way for students to serve this summer but they do provide deep impact for those we serve and the hearts of our students. As you know safety is a high priority. There is nowhere in the world that is perfectly safe but we do our best to make sure the places we go and the ministry we perform is reasonably safe and age appropriate.
