Middle School is a great time of transition, a time of moving from just being a kid into being a young adult. We want to come along side students and parents during this transition and provide a place for students to feel safe, have fun, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
In short, IBC Middle School Ministry is where:
Because our students have such a great time participating in the Sunday evening small groups, IBC is providing an additional time of worship for our middle school students who attend Sunday morning services. MERGE AM will meet in the Alcove every Sunday from 10:45 a.m. to noon for praise and worship, teaching and discussion groups.
“MERGE AM is an excellent opportunity to engage our middle school students through worship and fellowship with one another,” said IBC’s Middle School Pastor Trey Grant.
“Offering an additional time for these students to come together is a true blessing and a reflection of our commitment at IBC to student ministry.”
Students will have the opportunity to take part in grade-specific discussion groups every Sunday night from 6:45-8:00 p.m. directly following IBC’s regular service and family dinner. This is a time for students to come together with their friends and adult leaders for amazing worship and small group discussion. New this year will be a time for students to hang with all others from their grade. After a time of discussion, students will break into smaller gender-specific groups for more intimate discussion and prayer. Middle School Life Groups will start on August 29th. Be sure and sign up today!
If you are in 6th through 8th grade please join us Wednesday nights at IBC each week from 5:30 to 8 p.m. We try to promote community with one another by having an inexpensive meal together from 5:30-6:30 in the Commons. Then our middle school ministry comes together in the youth wing for big group. We are currently doing a series entitled "ME*dia." In this series we are teaching students how to respond to Media. Each week we present a different form of Media (Clips from TV, Movies, Internet and Radio) and in small groups challenge students to answer 4 basic questions.
Please Come check out our Wednesday Night Gathering...God is doing some amazing things through our middle schoolers.
10:24 Groups are relationally driven small groups that help students grow in their love for Jesus. These groups were created for students who have a desire to go deeper into their faith. An adult leader who is encouraged and trained by the student ministry staff team leads each group.
10:24 Group will begin meeting the week of September 13th. After students have registered, they will be contacted by their leader to discuss dates, times and locations of their group.
Student Ministry at IBC longs for middle school and high school students to “Join the Mission.” We believe God has uniquely gifted students for impact and influence in our community and around the world. It’s exciting to see our students serve and love those who desperately need it. This summer we are offering opportunities for our students to “Join the Mission” by spending extended time traveling on mission trips.
No - mission trips are not the only way for students to serve this summer but they do provide deep impact for those we serve and the hearts of our students. As you know safety is a high priority. There is nowhere in the world that is perfectly safe but we do our best to make sure the places we go and the ministry we perform is reasonably safe and age appropriate.
