Overview
Becoming a member at IBC is a simple process.
Step 1: Attend a Newcomer Gathering
If you are relatively new to IBC, we invite you to attend a Newcomer Gathering which meets every other month in the evening. This is an informal get together for adults new to IBC and/or those wanting to learn more about who we are, what we believe and the many ways you can connect with others who share the same interests. Meet for a light dinner, coffee and dessert with other newcomers, ministry leaders and elders as we learn more about each other and IBC.
Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, we look forward to meeting you and sharing with you opportunities for exploring, growing and sharing faith in Jesus Christ.
Step 2: Understand IBC
Before moving to step 3, please familiarize yourself with the purpose, dreams and beliefs of IBC to see if they resonate with you. You may download a pdf copy of our “Purpose, Dreams and Beliefs” or pick one up at the church.
Step 3: Share Your Story
The Membership Storytelling gathering is a time for a few of our Elders to share the core beliefs of IBC and then get to know our new members by listening to their stories of coming to faith. This class can be done in one of two ways: if you register for Propel beginning in September, the final session will be Membership Storytelling. If you prefer not to do the entire 5-week class of Propel, you may register just for the Membership Storytelling.

Our next Membership Storytelling will be June 3 & 10 at 10:45 a.m. in Rooms West A&B
If IBC is your church home and you are interested in becoming a member, this two-part event is for you. Come the first week and get to know elders, learn more about our core beliefs as a church, and discover what membership is all about. If you are ready to take the next step, come the following week to share your own story of faith and complete the membership process.
