Mission Spotlight

More Than Enough

Sunday, Nov 10

Mission Spotlight Sundays provide IBCers with opportunities to be open-handed with our resources by partnering with visionaires both down the street and around the globe.

What does it mean for us to have more than enough? Out of the abundance with which we have received, God invites us to give of what we have and who we are. Here’s how you can step in faith to declare and demonstrate that we have more than enough.

Each year, we put together meal packs for local families in need. Fill up a bag and drop it off in Town Square by November 10.

  • 4 canned goods: green beans, corn, yams, etc.
  • 2 bags/boxes: pinto beans, rice, or mashed potato mix
  • 2 cans/jars: cranberry sauce, applesauce, or fruit
  • 2 boxes: macaroni or stuffing
  • 1 dessert mix: vake, cookie, or brownie mix
  • A $20 gift card to Walmart or Kroger for a turkey and fresh foods
  • A short note of encouragement
  • Add your favorite Thanksgiving food or paper goods

Please do not include bread, rolls, chips, or anything that could crush easily or spoil.

Host our Neighbors

This year, we are hosting a carnival with our partner schools to give out meal packs, help with laundry needs, and just have fun! There will be food, games, and prizes.

The first opportunity will take place at Amigos Laundromat in Irving. Laundry Love and Schoolworks are partnering together to provide specific assistance to our partner school families in Irving ISD.

The second part or our Fall Service Day will take place at Sam Houston Middle School and will include distributing Thanksgiving Meal Bags to our school families as well as serving at a Fall Carnival.
