Believing we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our neighbors, we have many ministries designed specifically to meet tangible needs within our community. Many of these are ongoing, and many are seasonal, but all seek to love others in a way that reflects Jesus' heart to serve.
Each Wednesday we invite our neighbors to come to IBC for a variety of training classes, events, a health clinic and other get-togethers which are all expressly designed for our community. We call it 2435 Kinwest and you are invited!
IBC is blessed to have its own kitchen where we lovingly provide meals for Sunday nights and Wednesday nights as well as for the women at New Friends New Life once a week.
Once a year in August we have a backpack drive to provide book bags with supplies to our local community through our partners and through the Single Parent Ministry. Watch Chatter magazine and our website, or look for the kiosk in town square each summer to get involved.
IBC seeks to provide short-term emergency food provisions to those in need through an on-site pantry. Donations can always be brought to the box in the Town Square where you can also pick up a list of needed items.
The yearly giving of baskets filled with food to make a thanksgiving meal has been a tradition at IBC for many years. These baskets are distributed to our community through our local partners. Look for more information on how you can be involved in November of each year.
Ordinary time is an occasion to become attentive to the call of discipleship both outer and inner.
