Norm Headlam

Norm and his wife Marjorie live in Flower Mound with their three wonderful children: Chloe, Harrison, and Camille.

Norm was born in Jamaica and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child, he attended church in Jamaica where his father, Cecile Headlam, served as a deacon. Despite his foundation, Norm found himself pulling away from the church during his teen and college years. After marrying in October of 1996, Marjorie wanted to become active in church, so they began attending Irving Bible Church in 1997. God lead Norm to recommit his life to Christ, and he was baptized at IBC that same year. They quickly became members and began volunteering in the Children’s Ministry.

Today Norm continues to serve as a volunteer in the Children’s Ministry, where he is taught by the 2nd-graders (yes, you read that correctly). Marjorie serves as a liaison between IBC and Mercy House, and both Chloe and Harrison also serve in IBC Children’s Ministry.

Norm has a Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, and currently works for Fidelity Investments as Vice President - Architecture. Norm and his family are grateful for the blessing IBC has been in their lives, and look forward to continuing to worship, serve, and enjoy life with their IBC family.

Norm became an elder at IBC in 2017. In 2019, Norm was named the Chairman of the Elder Board.
