Formerly an editor at “D Magazine,” Kristy is now a freelance travel and lifestyle journalist, making her our very best friend. Kristy has been married to 2nd Lieutenant Mark Alpert (insert fancy new job title here!) for over four years, and they have a Boston terrier: the ever-so-awkward Tobias, named after that famous never-nude on Arrested Development. Currently stationed in Columbus, Mississippi, the Alperts have recently encountered a pet pig named Rose, eaten fried green tomatoes, and witnessed an actual trailer pull.
